TL;DR:

  • Shoot projectiles with left click
  • Earn 1 gold for each enemy defeated, which is expended when building defences and upgrading
  • Start with 25 gold (Which is not displayed to the player)
  • Build a defences at the build table, spending gold (Rotate pieces with Q,E)
    • Plains/Empty - 0 gold
    • Walls - 2 gold
    • Turret - 5 gold
    • Bog - 3 gold
  • Upgrade your attacks at the Merchant - There is no feedback when upgrading but I promise it does work
    • Cost: 3x current level. Start at level 1
  • Enemies can damage and destroy your defensive structures
  • If any enemies reach the centre you lose
  • In the uploaded build, you will need to refresh to replay after losing

In this game you earn gold (not displayed to the player, didn't have time) by defeating enemies, with which you can purchase different tile types (costs not displayed again), which are intended to help you defend against explosive monsters who want to destroy the central tile. You purchase the tiles on a little board, and they scale up to be built in real size. 

You can shoot projectiles to destroy incoming enemies, and build automatic turrets to aid in your defence. You can also build bogs which slow down enemies, or walls which prevent them from accessing the central point of the map.

There is a merchant from whom you can buy 'upgrades' which increases the fire rate and scale of your explosive attack, as well as that of the turrets (again, costs not shown).

  • Shoot - left click
  • Movement - WASD or Arrow Keys
  • Look around - Mouse Movement required (Q and E can rotate the camera)
  • Upgrade at the Merchant - 'U' (When besides said Merchant) - Increases weapons firing speed and projectile splash radius at a cost of 3 x current level
  • Enter/Exit Build screen - 'B' (When on central tile)
  • Rotate Tile - Q/E (When in build screen)
  • Select/Place Tile - left click (When in build screen)
  • Reset position - 'R' (In case you get stuck)

Tile costs and information in gold:

  • Plains/Empty - 0 gold
  • Walls - 2 gold - Destroyed after contact with 3 enemies
  • Turret - 5 gold - Shoots towards approaching enemies and destroyed after contact with 3 enemies
  • Bog - 3 gold - Slows approaching enemies

Oh this is cool, it gives me Tower Defence game vibes with a POV element to it. I think this game has a lot of potential :)

Leaving information here incase editing the game's page delete's it from the GMTK submission list... It shouldn't do, but I am taking no chances. The description is very limited because I uploaded the game the last few minutes available to me. (I updated the description in the 1-hour extension).
